Florint organises an International Certified Judge in Floristry Design assessment in Poland

Are you an NCJFD-certified florist? And have you dreamed about taking the next step in professional floristry judging; becoming an International Certified Judge in Floristry Design (ICJFD)? Then this is your chance! Florint will be organising a small-scale ICJFD assessment at the EUROPA CUP 2022 in Katowice, Poland, at the end of August.

ICJFD is the second, advanced level recognised in Florint’s ‘Judges Certification’ system. The first level, NCJFD, certifies you as a professional judge at the national level. By becoming an International Certified Judge in Floristry Design (ICJFD), you are qualified to be a judge at the highest level. This includes judging in esteemed international floristry championships like Florint’s EUROPA CUP.

Assessing floristry is both an art and a science.

This call for participants is only open until June 24, given the short timeline. Candidates must send an email expressing their interest to info@florint.org before June 25. You will have to be quick!

The ICJFD assessment is planned from August 23-26, 2022 – on the days before our EUROPA CUP 2022 (August 26-28).

What is Florint’s Judging System?

International Florist Organisation has been involved in the professionalisation of floristry assessment for many years. We started by developing a transparent scoring system for floral design: the International 100-Points System. This system has become the industry standard; we are proud to say! Understanding it is vital to becoming a professional judge.

We established Florint’s ‘Judges Certification’ (JudgCert) procedure as the next step. The JudgCert system certifies florists as professional floristry judges only after a thorough assessment. A committee of experts critically evaluates whether a candidate makes for a proficient judge, both personally and professionally.
