Germany’s new champion florist has been crowned: Stephan Triebe will bring the trophy to the city of Hamburg! After two enthralling days of competition in the middle of the famous Potsdamer Platz Arkaden shopping center in Berlin, and five demanding tasks around the red-hot motto of “Fire and flame for Rio”, he convinced the jury through his blooming creations.
Stephan Triebe replaces the reigning champion, Marcel Schulz from Baden-Württemberg, who represented Germany quite successfully in the European Florist Championship 2016 this April in Genoa, Italy.
“I’m totally overwhelmed, and really thrilled. I never expected to win here,” Stephan commented on his impressive victory. Finishing in second and third place, behind Stephan, were Sarah Hasenhündl from Baden-Württemberg and Mehmet Yilmaz from Rheinland-Pfalz.
The complete ranking of the ‘Deutsche Meisterschaft der Floristen 2016’, which is co-organized by Florint member FDF (the German Florist Association) and Fleurop, is the following:
