Over 50.000 visitors were drawn to a glamorous exhibition of cut roses in Warsaw, Poland from May 11-13th. In the majestic Kubicki Arcades of the Warsaw Royal Castle, the visiting public could admire more than 140 stunning rose varieties. International Florist Organisation was the patron of the special event.

The previous exhibition of cut roses organized by the Polish Rose Society took place in Warsaw twenty years ago: in 1999! After two decades, roses were finally put in the spotlight again during the Royal Rose Exhibition, which coincided with the opening of the renovated lower gardens of the Royal Castle.

Over fifty thousand guests came to admire exquisite roses from all over the world (mainly: the Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Italy, Ecuador, Kenya and Poland). Over 140 varieties in all kinds of colors, shapes and sizes, as well as unique perfume roses, inspired the visitors to enjoy these royal flowers more often.

All the arrangements and big compositions were prepared by over 30 florists from Malgorzata Niska floristic school and master florist Zygmunt Sieradzan. More than 20.000 roses were used, in total.

During the official Opening of the Royal Castle Gardens there was a vernissage which offered guests some surprises. Everybody was greeted by two beautiful Bouquet Ladies in specially designed Avalanche+® dresses. Later during the evening, there was a special show of the Polish Debutantes in Avalanche+®-inspired dresses.

You can find more photos of the event on Florint’s famous Facebook fan page, here.

The Embassy of the Kingdom of The Netherlands in Poland and the Royal Castle in Warsaw were the main organizers of the exhibition. FLORINT, the International Florist Organization, had the honourable patronage over the event. Other patrons were: Flower Expo Poland, The Zamoyski Museum in Kozłówka, Polish Rose Breeders Association, and the Polish Rose Association.

To promote the exhibition a special website has been created: SwiatRozy.pl. It is meant to be an information platform on roses. All the information about the exhibitors and the rose varieties presented at the exhibition is published on it, together with some interesting background information and care and handling tips.
