The International “NATURALIA” Land Art Festival in Poland invites you to contribute your art!

Naturalia Land Art

The Polish Association of Engineers and Technicians of Horticulture (SITO) is organising the country’s first big land art festival. All international floral designers, gardeners and landscape artists are invited to take part in the NATURALIA Land Art Festival and Competition, held from 13 to 15 September 2019 near the city of Poznań.

The NATURALIA Land Art Festival is an international event that will run for three days. On 13 and 14 September, the construction of the competition entries will take place. On 15 September there will be the ‘vernissage’ and presentation of the awards.

The Land Art Festival aims to introduce the people of Poznań and Wielkopolska to the art form, which uses only natural material such as plants. The event will be accompanied by open workshops and talks promoting art that uses plants as its medium.

Entries are welcome from fine artists, landscape architects and floral designers as well as arts and landscape architecture students. The organisers hope that the recurring event becomes an opportunity for creators to meet and share their experiences.

The theme for the competition is ‘Carpe Diem’ (seize the day). Competition entries will be integrated into the area surrounding the National Museum of Agriculture and Agri-Food Industry in the town of Szreniawa. The post-competition exhibition of all the art will run there until 15 October 2019.

The initiators of the NATURALIA festival are the Poznań branch of the Association of Horticultural Engineers and Technicians (SITO) and the National Museum of Agriculture and Agri-Food Industry in Szreniawa.

Florint, the International Florist Organisation, has accepted an invitation for Honorary Patronage of the NATURALIA Land Art Festival. Local patrons are: Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development; Marek Woźniak, Marshall of the Wielkopolska Voivodship; and Jan Broda, Mayor of the Komorniki Municipality.
