Florint puts a lot of efforts into the improvement of the quality of competitions. It does so by developing blue-prints and formats for the competitions as such. Blue-prints in which the experiences of many years of holding competitions are gathered and laid down. And thus passed on to the people organising future competitions. It does also by improving the level of judging. Florint has established a common judging system, known as the international 100-points system. Easy to use, transparent, but yet sophisticated.
The professionalism of the judges is a crucial factor in any competition. That is why Florint started educating judges quite some years ago. More than 150 florists passed the European Judges Course. Currently Florint is developing a European certification system based upon the competence profile for a professional international judge.
The objectives are:
- to enhance the reputation of (certified) international judges
- to demonstrate experience, skill and professionalism
- to give a recognised international accreditation to European / international judges
- to allow judges to demonstrate outstanding professionalism to peers and to potential prospects
- to encourage the development of knowledge and skills relevant for professional judging.
Any news about this certification system and the new educational program will be published on the website.
